*Finding my drive without volleyball*

Even though everything is great with volleyball and it is basically my motivation to get good grades and graduate school.....there has to be more to me than volleyball! A wise woman made me ask myself if I was still going to have that same enthusiasm and drive once volleyball is over......I could not answer her! It became clear then that yes, it is good that volleyball motivates me, but I need to find out what else motivates me along with volleyball. She made me realize volleyball should not be my sole purpose for wanting to do something especially if I have to do it. I need to find something else along with that, which will help keep that same drive! Anything can happen and in a blink of an eye the one thing that I have always gave my all to could be gone, and then what?! As much as I hated that conversation, because I felt like she was not listening to my points or did not understand where I was coming from....she was right and I was wrong! I now realize that, I thought about what she said all night and because I know she would never tell me anything that was not in my best interest, digging deep and finding out what else motivates me is all I can think about! It takes balls to say what she said to me knowing what volleyball means to me, even though she knew she was right. I love her for that and I am so blessed to have a mentor like her.

A Bunch of Crap!

Talk about a shity end of the week! School was a failure for me on Thursday, both of my classes sucked. Friday I worked out at five am for volleyball (which sucked actually, my shins were hurting so bad on our run!) and somehow after my workout as I was headed home, I got lost! I did not make it home until an hour later.......two years in Memphis and I am still getting lost. SMH! Obviously I did not make it to class on Friday. I am starting to hate academic writing......it sucks now. On another note...it is Saturday, obviously, and I cannot complain about today, just working on some homework and watching some volleyball. Tomorrow I will definitely be in church......church has been really good lately; it is definitely giving me the strength to get through my bad days! This blog is full of complaints, but I do not care......sometimes person just needs to vent.

PUMPED.....just because

My weekend was pretty chilled. I basically took some ME TIME! I did a little homework on Saturday and went to Church today (which was great!) I have no complaints my life is good and I am excited about my future.

Doing what I LOVE!

A quick thought: I am a pretty complicated person, I must admit. I guess that is because I do not take crap from anybody for any reason! I do what I want when I want, and I need no one's approval! Most people do not understand me, but cannot stop loving me. lol

On another note: My life has always been a challenge, I always have to put three times the effort, the time, and the dedication into any and everything I do, but no matter how hard my life may get I never give up on what I love. I have been playing volleyball for seven years, five of them being competitive years. I knew playing volleyball was what I wanted to do since the first moment I stepped on a volleyball court. Obviously I did not go straight out of high school to a college team, but I never stop working towards that goal. Now, here I am two years later and a semester away from doing what I love! I am extremely excited and more determined than I have ever been. I want to THANK  Jesus Christ for this blessing because without him I WOULD NOT be playing volleyball!

Not the Weekend I expected

Its funny how you can plan your day, your week, even plan for the year and no matter how precise you may be things will never turn out they way you planned. Funny how that happens! I use to plan everything, but because nothing ever came to past when I did that. I now just go with the flow and it is so much more rewarding. I still keep everything organized and make due dates, but never again will I plan anything unless its a do or die situation. I wasn't to sure what to write about tonight and I am still unsure if what I am writing now is what I really want to say...their are so many thoughts going through my head its giving me a headache.

*Ever been so stressed, you just had to cry in order to feel better?
*Ever just have one of those days where everything went wrong, that instead of yellling and being pist...you couldn't do anything, but laugh?
*Ever say something you wish you could take back?
*Has there ever been someone who has done you so wrong that all you can do is pray for them?
Well I can answer yes to all those questions, and by doing so explains my weekend very well!

Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.

Time to use our voices!

Before I start I have to (SCREAM!!!!) I just lost my whole blog because my computer is not liking me tonight. On another note.....having a voice, having an opinion, having anything worth sharing means nothing if you don't take the step to tell it to the world, your classmates, your friends, or whoever. Me myself is always thinking about something, or feeling a certain way about something. Yet, you will never catch me sharing my thoughts with anyone on a regular. Many people try to get inside my head for whatever reasons, they don't get very far thou (its me we're talking about). On the flip side of that give me a pen and paper and I could tell you my whole life and more. I guess I like writing better because you don't have to explain 'why'. To me once it's on paper it simply says....what you see is what you get, nothing more nothing less. If asked what's the beauty of writing.....I would have to say...the fact that in most cases you can write about anything and not have to explain why you wrote what you wrote or what it means or in some cases not have to worry about what others think. I've never been one to base what I do off of other people and their opinions and because of that writing means that much more to me. It doesn't matter what you write your reader will like or dislike, understand or not understand, comment or not comment (whether it be good or bad). Point is I love the fact that I can write what I want when I want and that be that.

If not us, who? If not now, when?"
